CONDOR CUSTOM STEERING AND BREAKING

Karina Durieux

So finally back to Blogging!! Summer has kept me busy with little time to write about what has been keeping me busy. I return to the Condor Custom I finished a while back. My customer wanted to have a stripped down, vintage look with as little cable showing as possible. we decided on Alloy Pull Back Cruiser Bars which I drilled to route the front brake cable to the Vintage Shimano Tourney front center pull cantilever brake from the Pedal Peddler.

The outer cable ended in a vintage campagnola 1" stem mounted retainer. The original Campagnola headset was in perfect condition and we used a LONG Ergotec 2 Stainless Steel and Chrome Stem also supplied by The Pedal Peddler. We mounted a vintage Ping Bell that I found in the bell bin. I had an unbranded bar end Brake Lever that looked great worked a dream. Gyes Leather Bolt on Grips were perfect to finish off the bars which were leather wrapped like the rest of the frame.

the Brooks B-33 was replaced with a sleek Vintage Italian Leather Saddle from the Saddle bins. When I get a customer over 6'6" it is always a bit hard to find them the perfect bike. I'd like to say that together we accomplished building a dream ride for this customer that he will cherish and enjoy riding for years to come!!
