Though I was a kid riding my Stingray back in the San Francisco Bay Area when this custom was built I feel one with the team that put it together for their customer. It is a master piece of British craftsmenship. Here is its story:

This Unique Pashley ' Tourmaster' Tandem was Custom Ordered and Delivered in 1971 by a Lord and Lady according to Pashley Records,

They Custom Ordered a Mixte Steel Frame which was a very Popular Design at the Time,

6 Speed Shimano Gears with a Stem Mounted Friction Shifter,

Mafac ' Raid' Center Pull Cantilever Brakes were Choosen with Two on the Rear Wheel and One up Front for Sharp Braking

A Unique Twin Cable Brake Lever was Designed for the Two Rear Brakes,

For M'Lord Up Front a Sporty Brooks B-17 Leather Race Saddle, Drop Down Racing Bars,

All Steel Racing Pedals with Toe-clips To Satisfy His Sporting Needs,

For M'Lady a More Town Bike Styling, A Comfy Brooks B-67 Leather Saddle with Town Bars

and Sensible Flat All Steel Pedals less likely to Scuff Ones Shoes!!

Full Chain Guards and Bumenthal Aluminium Mudguards Would have Kept Ones Attire Tidy,

A Fletcher All Aluminum Rear Rack would have been More than Adiquate to Carry a Hamper

Full of Fortum and Masons Snacks and a Bottle of Bubbly or Three,

Whether This Master Piece Ever Made the Grand Tour or was Just Parked in the Carriage House Next to the Bentley We will Never Know!!!

I have had it for a few years and it has been hired for Weddings and Film Shoots.

It is available to Buy or for Hire.
